Roach is an amateur writer whose work is inspired by everyday life and the magic moments we experience through interactions with nature, other people, and quiet reflection. He is in awe of the tenacity of plants, especially the native wildflowers of Texas. A transplant from Northern California now rooted in the Hill Country, Roach lives in Dripping Springs with his artist wife and three dogs, who passively, but effectively, supervise most of the writing process. Roach’s interests are in poetry, philosophy, and the slow, patient work of growing things. He is not especially patient himself, so he enjoys the chance writing gives him to slip into characters so that he can better describe the world through their hands and eyes.
